Berdande’s Pack
Berdande began her travels with a Solar Circle after tracking a Dragon-Blooded and her pack for several days.
Arashi
She took an immediate liking to the Dawn Caste Solar Arashi, her impression of Solars before then was based entirely on
lore she had read and stories she had heard, it never occurred to her that there could be barbarians among the Solars. It
is because of this that she feels the closest kinship to Arashi. That is not to say she views him as a true barbarian. While
she greatly enjoys battling by his side, she dislikes his gluttonous behavior and feels he is too reliant on the corrupt trappings
of civilization.
Quietus
Berdande is deeply religious and respects Quietus’ choice to become a monk (even if it is not in service of Luna,
which Berdande recognizes as the only god worth worship). It is because of this that she gives him quite a bit of leeway.
Quietus wants to help everyone, he wants to heal instead of maim, build instead of destroy, it drives Berdande nuts. Ultimately
his altruistic nature only seems to garner her pack more trouble, Berdande has no stomach for charity.
Kolon
Berdande’s eyes go cross when she thinks of Kolon. He seems to know everything; this both impresses and annoys Berdande.
While she wishes he would be more forthcoming with information, she senses no deception in him so she never holds his mysterious
knowledge against him. Of all the Solars in her pack, Kolon stinks of civilization the most, it is because of this Berdande
keeps him at a deliberate distance.
Riki
As far as Berdande is concerned Riki is out of control. The only thing more out of control than Riki is Riki and
Arashi. While she is quite impressed by his prowess and style in battle, she would never consider him worthy of barbarian
ways. She is sometimes annoyed, sometimes amused by his near preternatural ability to find trouble.
Millena
You would think Berdande would be happy to meet another sorceress but instead she’s quite disturbed by it. To Berdande,
Millena is the path of ruin for a sorceress, ensnared by the temptations of civilization, she learns from books rather than
battle. In Berdande’s eyes Millena is a slave to her former self and will eventually fall prey to the corruptions of
the Realm.
Mahina
As if being Dragon-Blooded wasn’t enough, Mahina is weak even for one of her kind. When Berdande first meets Mahina
the poor girl has lost her mind, such a loss of control is disgusting to Berdande (especially considering that Berdande faced
the ravages of the Wyld & survived with her wits intact). Mahina’s presence in the pack is offensive to Berdande
& she only tolerates the Dragon-Blooded girl for the sake of her pack, which seem to like the Dragon-Blooded for reasons
beyond Berdande’s understanding.
